A good cover letter and resume both highlight your mortgage career experience and inform the hiring manager for a mortgage branch company of your skills, as a mortgage loan originator and branch management. It’s difficult to land a mortgage branch management position that you’ve been seeking without a resume that gets noticed. Sticking to the appropriate format is important in cover letter and resume writing. In addition, you must use the appropriate tone and style. You can write a winning cover letter and resume by following a basic outline.
Instructions Cover Letter For a Branch Management Position
- Write the date and place it in the upper-left corner. Use a Times New Roman 12-point font. Your page should be left justified, single-spaced, and double-spaced between paragraphs.
- Write the mortgage company address. Write the name of the mortgage company. Write the name of the recipient. Type the street address, city, state and ZIP code. Include the appropriate greeting title such as, “Dear Mr./Ms. .”
- Write the introduction. Write three to five sentences that describe who you are, your position of interest and how you heard about the mortgage branch opportunity. For example, you could write, “My name is Richard Moore and I am applying for your Branch Management position. I heard about this position through Mortgage Brokers Network, Gary Lacey, who is an representative of your mortgage branch company.”
- Write the body. Use a friendly tone and communicate clearly. Write five to seven sentences that describe your mortgage experience. Choose at least three skills that match the hiring manager’s needs.
- Write the closing. Write one or two statements that leave the reader with a positive impression. For example, you could write, “As you can see from my resume, I have more than two decades in loan origination and mortgage branch operation.”
Inform the reader that you are including a copy of your resume for their review. Include your contact phone number and specify your availability. Thank the reader for his time. - Include a closing signature. Choose a proper title such as: “Sincerely,” “Respectfully submitted” or “Thank you”. After a double space, print your name underneath. Write out your signature and place this in the middle of the closing signature and closing title.
